Treat it like a board, not a plaque.
It left the shop oiled and ready. Keep water off it, keep oil on it, and it will last. The flush inlay doesn’t change any of that.

Hand-wash. Don’t soak.
Wipe it down. A little warm water and mild soap if you need it. Never the dishwasher, never a sink full of water. Acacia will cup if it sits wet.

Dry it standing, not stacked.
Stand it on edge after you wash it so both faces air out. Don’t trap it under a pot or in a drawer while it’s damp.

Oil when it looks thirsty.
Food-grade mineral oil, thin coat, let it soak, wipe the extra. When the face turns pale or dry, it wants oil. A few times a year is typical; more if you use it hard.

The inlay is the easy part.
Once the epoxy is fully cured and sanded flush, it doesn’t need special care. Don’t scrape it with a metal bench scraper on purpose. A knife can ride over the inlay — that’s why we fill it flush.

Feet stay on.
The rubber feet keep the oiled face off the counter and stop the board from walking. If one comes off, we can send a replacement.
